The Collective Project

More than a design — a reminder of what we can build together.

The Collective Project was created as a one-off initiative rooted in family, craft, and connection. At its core is the honeybee — a symbol of resilience, purpose, and unity. Bees don’t survive alone. Everything they build is achieved through collective effort, each piece small on its own, yet powerful together.

The honeycomb structure draws direct inspiration from family history. A lifelong honeybee apiary and generations of hand-stitched quilts became the foundation for the visual language of the project. The hexagonal form reflects both worlds — the natural geometry of the hive and the deliberate stitching of handmade quilts — blending labor, patience, and care into a single narrative.

Within each honeycomb cell are illustrated elements tied to Washington and the surrounding region — quiet references to place, memory, and roots. The stitched connections throughout the design symbolize generations of work, creativity, and dedication passed down intentionally, often without recognition.

“The Collective” isn’t branding — it’s the message. This project exists to reflect the idea that we move further together than we ever could on our own. It’s about family, community, and the unseen effort that holds everything together.

The Collective Project also carries purpose beyond the artwork itself. Proceeds from this release are being used to help fund a family trip to Washington — an opportunity to reconnect and spend time with loved ones after a year that presented more than a few unexpected challenges. Rather than asking for handouts, this project was created as a way to build something meaningful and earn that moment together.

This is not a mass release. It’s not driven by trends.

It’s a reminder — of where we come from, who we stand with, and what’s possible when we act as a collective.
